James M. Carlson, DO
James M. Carlson, DO received his B.S. degree from the University of Wyoming in Molecular Biology and then attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. His residency and internship were completed at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Dr. Carlson has practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Oregon since 2002 and joined Bend Obstetrics & Gynecology in February 2008.
Dr. Carlson is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a diplomat of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is also a member of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Medical Association, American Osteopathic Association and the Central Oregon Medical Society.
Dr. Carlson's special interests are in reconstructive pelvic surgery for pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He also enjoys both normal and high risk obstetrics. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Carlson enjoys the "holistic" approach to health and wellbeing.
